Affiliate Policy
Short answer: no affiliate or paid link is active on the published pages as of 13 July 2026. If affiliate links are added, they will remain secondary, be clearly disclosed and will change neither the reader’s price nor the editorial method.
Current status
The check of every published page found no affiliate parameter, no link with rel="sponsored" and no commercial script. Current external links are editorial links to sources, organisers, institutions or shops.
Rules before monetisation
- the reader’s need and selection criteria are defined before looking for an affiliate programme;
- the page remains useful if every commercial link is removed;
- commission is disclosed before the first relevant link;
- the reader’s price does not change because of the link;
- a paid link uses at least
rel="sponsored"; - a relationship, gift or product loan is disclosed on the relevant page;
- a product is described as tested only when it was genuinely used and documented;
- several sellers and unpaid alternatives remain possible when they are more relevant.
How recommendations are selected
A recommendation must start with a specific use, such as choosing a chasen, kyusu, chawan, storage container, thermometer, scale or book. Materials, dimensions, stated origin, care, availability, limits and alternatives must be checked.
The website will not publish a “best product” ranking without explaining the need, criteria, method, exclusions and conflicts of interest.
Prices and availability
Any displayed price or stock status will be dated and rechecked. It will not be presented as permanent. A broken commercial link or inaccurate information must be corrected or removed.
